What you do
As a Hotel Desk Clerk, your job is to accommodate hotel patrons by registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys or cards, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts, making and confirming reservations, and presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests.

- Some people who are interested in the Hospitality industry begin as guest services employees, and then move up to supervisory positions.
- You should know how to speak English well.
