What you do

As an Interior Architect, you design the interiors of buildings and homes. You help clients achieve specific goals, such as making a room look more spacious, by using your design skills to come up with a good solution.

As an Interior Architect, you will have to

  • Explain to people the difference between your job and the job of an Interior Designer
  • Work hard to find new clients, if you are self-employed

Typical work hours
  • 40-50 hours per week
  • 10-20% outside the office

When you have to meet deadlines, you may work longer hour to do extra work. As an interior architect, you may spend time meeting clients and visiting construction sites.

Biography

Mohamad has been an Interior Architect for almost ten years. He didn't know what he wanted to major in after graduating high school until one day, he stumbled into the Institute of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University. When he saw and learned more about the faculty of Interior Architecture, he instantly fell in love with design. He graduated with a degree in Interior Architecture and since then, he's been working hard to develop himself professionally and personally.

To some, art is simply a task on a to-do-list sheet. Mohamad believes it's more than that. Being artistic is being beautiful. That's why he practices his creativity in design, architecture and even music.
