What you do
As a Computer Systems Engineer/Architect, you provide advice to clients regarding the appropriate hardware and/or software to ensure that their computer systems meet their needs. You may also be involved in a hands-on manner during the acquisition, installation, testing, and implementation phases of the project.
The tough stuff
As a Computer Systems Engineer/Architect, you will have to:
- Work long hours
- Be held accountable. Computer systems are complicated, and sometimes in spite of your best efforts things just do not work the way they're supposed to. Nevertheless, you are responsible for finding the problem and fixing it!
